Welcome to our website.
Our names are Jon & Donna. We originated from just outside west London, not far from Heathrow Airport. Tired of the busy, noisy life we had, we decided to sell up in search of a more peaceful one, so here we are in Northants.
The catalyst for the big move was back in May 2000, when we bought our first Basset Hound. Her name was Lily and she changed our lives. We became involved in showing her, which has made us some wonderful friends on the way.
Just 5 minutes away are some wonderful countryside walks, which the dogs love. However our dream is to move again to something a little more rural, somewhere with more space for us all.
Our hounds enjoy having free run of our very large garden and live in the house with us.
Any news we may have about our hounds, show wins or a planned litter you can find on our news page. We are not commercial breeders and do not breed for profit, on average we will only have one litter a year if that. Our puppies are reared to the highest standard and in accordance with the KC/BHC code of ethics. We believe in quality not quantity, the hounds within our breeding programme are all eye tested by a BVA vet. We operate a waiting list system so anyone wanting a puppy from us will agree to undergo extensive online checks and interview before being accepted onto our waiting list. We pride ourselves on the after care we offer anyone who has a puppy from us, they will get 100% support from us and we are always there to give them advice and help if they need it, many I am proud to say have become good friends over the years.
A Miniature Long Haired Dachshund called Grace (Daxhaus Amazing Grace at Houndsbay) joined us in August 2014.
We are always happy to speak to anyone wishing to get advice or just talk about Bassets in General. As we do not breed that often we usually know of a reputable breeder that may be planning a litter or who currently has a litter so please feel free to contact us.
We hope you enjoy our website. We aim to keep adding more material to it on a regular basis, so please don't make this your last visit. If you have any comments, suggestions, discover any dead links, or just want to ask us a question, then we'd love to hear from you.
